Sen.

John Fetterman (D-PA) openly admitted this weekend that Democrats were very wrong in their push to abolish the Senate filibuster, a procedural tool they now say they love..

Appearing Saturday on Fox News Channels Saturday in America, Fetterman reflected on his partys past efforts to scrap the 60-vote threshold that has long served as a brake on one-party rule, a safeguard conservatives have consistently defended. According to Breitbart, the Pennsylvania Democrat conceded that his own campaign rhetoric had aligned with the lefts drive to nuke the filibuster, only to reverse course now that it serves as a barrier to sweeping progressive legislation.

Fetterman said, And I want to thank you guys for running all of those clips about Democrats [wanting] to nuke the filibuster, all the Democrats who wanted to nuke the filibuster. And I campaigned on it, too.

So, we were very wrong about that, to nuke the filibuster, and we should really humble ourselves and remind people [of] that. And now we wanted to eliminate it, now we love it.

Now we love the filibuster. So, thats a fact where we are now.

In a further break with progressive orthodoxy, Fetterman also acknowledged that basic election security measures are not extreme, stating that voter ID is not a crazy idea. He went on to address the SAVE Act, legislation aimed at ensuring only American citizens cast ballots, remarking that we dont even have the Republicans on their side, a claim that underscores the ongoing partisan struggle over election integrity and border-related concerns.
