In a bold move, Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has issued a stern warning to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, signaling his intent to launch an investigation into her remarks regarding President Donald Trump's alleged use of the justice system for political retribution.

According to Mediaite, this development follows months after Bill Pulte, Trump's director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, referred Swalwell to the Justice Department over accusations of mortgage and tax fraud, which the congressman has dismissed as politically motivated.

Similar allegations have been directed at Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) and New York Attorney General Letitia James, though her case was dismissed in early December.

In a video shared on his social media platforms, Swalwell declared that he had formally notified Trump officials following Wiles' comments, which he interpreted as an admission of Trump's political strategy involving retribution. "I want you to hear from me first. Im going on offense against Donald Trump, and I just put senior Trump officials on notice," Swalwell stated. He accused Trump of attempting to "weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his enemies list."

Swalwell's focus on Wiles stems from her recent interview, where she denied Trump was on a "revenge tour" but struggled to refute claims of vindictiveness. When questioned about the prosecution of Trump's critics, Wiles conceded, "I mean, people could think it does look vindictive. I cant tell you why you shouldnt think that." She further commented on James, saying, "Well, that might be the one retribution."

These statements have fueled Swalwell's determination to probe the matter, as he views them as undermining the notion that recent criminal referrals are merely routine or apolitical. "So we just sent a letter to Susie Wiles telling her, save your sh*t: your emails, your text messages, everything that records or documents Donald Trump going after his political enemies," Swalwell asserted. He emphasized the pursuit of truth, questioning, "What did Trump know? What did he order? What do others do on his behalf?"

Swalwell's message is clear: the investigation will persist, driven by a commitment to uncovering the truth, as he believes the American people will ultimately prioritize truth over Trump's narrative.
