During a recent segment on Fox News Channel's "Jesse Watters Primetime," Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) expressed her approval of the Trump administration's decision to halt asylum applications from nations deemed "third world.

".

The discussion, led by guest host Charlie Hurt, highlighted the administration's immigration policies. Hurt remarked, "So of course, so far weve President Trump has taken a couple of steps, stopping all asylums from anywhere in the world, and then halting immigration from third-world countries. This is a smart first step, I guess."

As reported by Breitbart, Luna voiced her strong support for these measures, stating, "I 100% back him, and I hope that Congress can codify something related." She elaborated on the challenges posed by the current immigration system, noting the influx of illegal immigrants under the Biden administration.

Luna emphasized, "There have been so many illegals that have come in, unvetted, unchecked under the Biden administration, that our system is bogged down." She pointed out that a significant portion of congressional offices' constituent services are related to immigration issues, affecting those seeking legal entry.

Luna further advocated for a temporary halt to immigration until the system can manage the existing backlog. She argued, "We need to pause everything until the system can actually catch up."

Luna questioned the necessity of admitting individuals who may not wish to assimilate or contribute to society, stating, "There is no reason why we need to be taking in people that (a) dont want to assimilate and (b), I dont even know that they can contribute much to the current society." She concluded by expressing her belief that proper vetting could have prevented certain individuals from entering the country.
