In a recent interview with CNN, Nancy Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House and a Democrat from California, addressed her previous remarks about President Donald Trump, in which she described him as a "vile creature" and "the worst thing on the face of the Earth.
".
These comments were initially made during an earlier conversation with CNN's Elex Michaelson, where Pelosi affirmed her strong disapproval of Trump, stating, "Hes just a vile creature, the worst thing on the face of the Earth."
As reported by Fox News, CNN's Anderson Cooper revisited these comments in an exclusive interview with Pelosi, marking her first public discussion since announcing her decision not to seek re-election. Cooper inquired whether Pelosi believed Trump had changed since his first term, particularly regarding his leadership and abilities. Pelosi responded with a touch of humor, saying, "By the way, I said that as a euphemism," and added, "I could have done much worse."
Fox News Digital sought a response from the White House concerning Pelosi's latest statements. When Cooper pressed for alternative adjectives, Pelosi redirected the conversation to focus on her priorities, stating, "No, no, I want to talk about my House, the House Democrats, and how were going to win whats there."
Pelosi's original comments were defended on the grounds that Trump, as President, failed to uphold the Constitution. She accused him of transforming the Supreme Court into a "rogue court," undermining the House of Representatives, intimidating the press, and instilling fear among legal residents. "Because hes the president of the United States and he does not honor the Constitution of the United States," Pelosi asserted.
When Fox News Digital reached out for further comment, Pelosi's office referred to a Newsweek article titled, "Trump Launches Attack on Nancy Pelosi: Disgusting Degenerate," but did not provide additional remarks. The exchange highlights the ongoing tension between Pelosi and Trump, reflecting broader political divisions. Fox News' Andrew Mark Miller contributed to this report.
