In a recent broadcast, NewsNation's Chris Cuomo expressed skepticism regarding the Democratic Party's rationale for not advocating the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein during President Joe Biden's administration.
Cuomo challenged the assertion that the ongoing investigation into Ghislaine Maxwell was the primary reason for the Democrats' inaction.
According to the Daily Caller, Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett of Texas had previously stated on CNNs The Arena that "pending litigation" concerning Maxwell was a significant factor in the Democrats' reluctance.
However, Cuomo, on his show "CUOMO," questioned this narrative, arguing that the Maxwell investigation should not have hindered inquiries into other individuals associated with Epstein. Cuomo remarked, The left is saying its all about the victims. I dont buy it, okay?
He further criticized the Democrats for their lack of transparency, questioning, So no other investigation could go on of other people at the same time that Ghislaine Maxwell was being investigated? Really? Anyone supposed to believe that?
Echoing Cuomo's sentiments, SiriusXM host Stephen A. Smith also criticized the Democratic Party on his show Straight Shooter with Stephen A. Smith pointed out the availability of the Epstein files during Biden's presidency, questioning the Democrats' failure to act. Ladies and gentlemen, keep in mind that the Epstein files were in existence and free to have been open during the Biden administration! You were there for four years! Smith exclaimed, highlighting the inconsistency in the party's current stance on the issue.
Adding to the chorus of criticism, Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania voiced his confusion on MSNBCs Morning Joe, questioning why the documents remained unaddressed during the Democrats' tenure. [O]ne of my questions is like we sat on those for four years, too, Fetterman noted, underscoring the need for clarity on the matter.
