In a startling revelation, it has been reported that there is a connection between the man who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump, Thomas Crooks, and the murderer of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson.
According to the Western Journal, Andrew Kolvet, a spokesman for Turning Point USA, took to social media on Monday to express his alarm at the situation. Responding to a story by Miranda Devine of the New York Post, which discussed Crooks' apparent fascination with transgenderism and furries, Kolvet posted, "This is beyond correlation, this is a five alarm fire." Devine's story also revealed that Robinson's roommate, who was also his transgender lover, had a furry fetish.
Devine's report shed light on the fact that the FBI and Secret Service had been less than transparent about Crooks' motive for his assassination attempt on then-candidate Trump in July 2024. "Crooks was shot dead by a Secret Service sniper, but not before he killed rallygoer Corey Comperatore, 50, and seriously wounded David Dutch, 58, and James Copenhaver, 75, who were sitting in the bleachers behind Trump," Devine detailed.
Devine argued that there were inconsistencies in the official narrative, which she believed were fueling conspiracy theories. She further revealed that an anonymous source had shared information from Crooks' digital footprint. This information showed that Crooks had transitioned from being an ardent Trump supporter to vehemently opposing him and his followers, starting in 2020. This shift in sentiment was evident in the social media posts that federal investigators had unearthed.
In one of his posts dated February 26, 2020, Crooks wrote, "How can you people call others sheep, but you are [too] brainwashed to realize how dumb you are. I mean literally you guys sound like a cult at times." Later in August 2020, he posted, "IMO the only way to fight the gov is with terrorism style attacks, sneak a bomb into an essential building and set it off before anyone sees you, track down any important people/politicians/military leaders etc and try to assassinate them."
Rod Swanson, a former senior FBI agent and chief of investigations for the state of Nevada during the 2017 Las Vegas shooting, told Devine that the FBI would undoubtedly have been aware of Crooks, given these and other posts. "No matter how ridiculous the allegation, no matter if its COVID or not, somebody is going to knock on somebodys door," Swanson said. "If they investigated that kid theres a record of it and theres an assessment that some leader made that this was not a threat or it rose to a level and they did something else."
Devine also reported on Crooks' interest in transgenderism and furries. She wrote that Crooks identified himself with the pronouns 'they/them' on the platform DeviantArt, a popular hub for 'furry' art and the 'furry' community. Lance Twiggs, Robinson's roommate, was also reportedly into the furry fetish, suggesting that Robinson likely shared the same interest.
Turning Point USAs Jack Posobiec argued last week that Robinsons trial should be televised. He posted on X, "Theres questions coming out about the strange relationship between Lance Twiggs and Tyler Robinson. Drug use, obsessions with ChatGPT, the furry lifestyle, black market HRT [hormone treatment]."
In both the cases of Crooks and Robinson, it appears that similar types of mental illness were at play. This is not to mention the high-profile murders committed by individuals identifying as transgender at Christian schools in Minneapolis in August and Nashville in 2023.
Kolvet's assertion that the correlation is a "five alarm fire" is indeed accurate. The first step towards addressing this issue is acknowledging the truth. The connection between these cases and the role of mental illness cannot be overlooked. The need for transparency and thorough investigation is paramount to prevent such incidents in the future.
