Trump Plans Meeting With Mamdani, Promises: Well Work Something Out For New York

President Donald Trump revealed to reporters over the weekend that New York City's Mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani, has expressed interest in a meeting at the White House.

"The mayor of New York, I will say, would like to meet with us, and well work something out. But he would like to come to Washington and meet, and well work something out. We want to see everything work out well for New York," Trump stated as he prepared to leave Florida for Washington.

According to Sean Hannity, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that no date has been established for this potential meeting. The President has been vocal in his criticism of Mamdani, labeling him a communist and, in a surprising move, endorsing Democrat Andrew Cuomo, Mamdanis rival, in the final days leading up to the election.

On Election Day, Trump took to social media to express his disdain for Mamdani, stating, "Any Jewish person that votes for Zohran Mamdani, a proven and self professed JEW HATER, is a stupid person!!!" He further urged voters to support Cuomo, saying, "Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You must vote for him, and hope he does a fantastic job. He is capable of it, Mamdani is not!"

As the political landscape continues to evolve, the potential meeting between Trump and Mamdani could signal a shift in dynamics, especially given the President's previous criticisms. The outcome of such a meeting remains to be seen, as both parties navigate the complexities of governance and political alliances.
