The escalating animosity from the left towards Christian conservatives is a growing concern, with the hatred seemingly reaching fever pitch.
This sentiment is not a mere speculation but a reality that is becoming increasingly evident, with millions of leftists expressing their disdain openly.
A recent incident involving Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania has brought this issue to the fore. Fetterman, who suffered a ventricular fibrillation flare-up during a walk, leading to a fall and subsequent hospitalization, has been a target of the radical left for various reasons.
According to Western Journal, the most distasteful comments about the senator's health were found on the leftist-dominated social media platform BlueSky.
Steve Guest, a notable conservative on another social media platform, compiled some of the comments. "Blue Sky is an absolute cesspool right now in the wake of the news about John Fetterman's fall," Guest noted.
The comments ranged from sarcastic remarks about the pavement's condition to outright wishes for the senator's demise, reflecting a disturbing lack of human decency.
A similar trend was observed on Reddit, another platform dominated by leftists. Users made derogatory comments, with one even hoping for Fetterman to emerge from his ordeal in a vegetative state. Another user predicted a grim fate for President Trump, reflecting the pervasive hostility.
Interestingly, Fetterman had previously hinted at such reactions during an interview with CNN's Dana Bash. He differentiated between the treatment he receives from conservatives and liberals, stating, "the right would probably say really rough things and names some names I won't repeat on T.V. but on the left, it was like, they want me to die, or that 'We're cheering for your next stroke,' or 'Why couldn't the depression [win]?' and 'I hope your kids find you [dead].'"
The question arises: why is Fetterman, a Democrat, the target of such hatred from the left? The answer lies in his divergence from the radical leftist worldview. Despite often voting with Democrats, Fetterman has consistently voiced his opposition to government shutdowns, even criticizing Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's government shutdown.
Moreover, Fetterman's refusal to validate Katie Couric's insinuations that the late conservative Christian icon Charlie Kirk held extreme views and did not deserve posthumous honors from President Donald Trump's administration has further alienated him from the left. The left's celebration of Kirk's assassination on September 10th underscores the depth of their hatred, which arguably surpasses their disdain for Trump.
The rising tide of leftist hatred is reminiscent of a Union soldier entering the Battle of Gettysburg armed only with an essay on the evils of slavery. The situation has escalated beyond the point of argument, with the evils of leftist hatred well-documented. However, it is crucial to continue denouncing this hatred to prevent a catastrophic fallout.
Perhaps moderate Democrats like Fetterman, who are themselves targets of radical leftism, could be instrumental in averting such a disaster.
