Sunny Hostin Skeptical Of Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'Change' Following Cordial 'The View' Exchange

In a recent episode of "The View," co-host Sunny Hostin expressed skepticism about the perceived transformation of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.

Hostin suggested that Greene's seemingly altered demeanor was not indicative of a genuine change, but rather a strategic move aimed at securing a higher political office.

"I dont think shes changed. I did ask her, Are we seeing an evolution? And she specifically, I think, responded, No, Im the same person,'" Hostin said, as reported by Fox News. She further noted that Greene, being in her 50s, is unlikely to have undergone a significant change in character. "And so I think at a big age, in my experience, people dont change, but they may behave differently, because they want something."

Hostin went on to speculate about Greene's political aspirations. "I think she aspires to higher office. Perhaps its the Senate. Perhaps its even the presidency. I dont know. But I dont know that we saw a different Marjorie Taylor Greene. I thought that we saw just someone behaving differently," she said during the show's "Behind the Table" podcast.

Greene's appearance on "The View" was marked by her unexpected criticism of the GOP and a surprising display of civility. This unexpected behavior led to speculation about her future political ambitions, including a potential presidential run in 2028.

However, Greene dismissed these rumors as "baseless" in a text to the reporter who published the article. She stated, "I would like to pass bills and appropriations for my current job."

During the interview, Hostin expressed her surprise at Greene's demeanor, saying, "Im sitting here just stumped. You know, because you are a very different person than I thought you were." Greene responded by reminding Hostin that their interaction on the show was their first meeting.

Hostin further suggested that Greene seemed to be leaning towards the left, a notion that Greene quickly dismissed. "Oh, no, nothing has changed about me. I am staying 100% true to the people that voted for me and true to my district," the Republican lawmaker affirmed.

Greene also expressed her belief in the importance of civil discourse and the exchange of ideas. "I think that all of us here are doing a great job of exchanging our ideas and things that we believe in, and were doing it in a very professional and kind way and, in my opinion, I think we need more of that in America," she said.

Greene further emphasized her commitment to unity and free speech, stating, "This country, our beautiful country our red, white, and blue flag is just being ripped to shreds and I think it takes women of maturity to sew it back together, and I think that happens through free speech."

In recent weeks, Greene has been in the spotlight for her criticism of the Republican Party over the government shutdown. Her call for the reopening of the government and support for the extension of Obamacare subsidies, typically a Democratic stance, earned her praise from the co-hosts of "The View."

Despite these seemingly progressive actions, Greene maintains her allegiance to her conservative constituents and her support for President Donald Trump.
