Podcaster Joe Rogan recently entertained the idea that President Donald Trump could orchestrate a remarkable political maneuver by seeking the governorship of California after his presidential term concludes.
Rogan humorously suggested that such a move could potentially restore the state to its former splendor.
In a conversation with "Triggernometry" hosts Francis Foster and Konstantin Kisin, Rogan reflected on the societal shifts and public policies that emerged during the pandemic, which he now perceives as a far-left fantasy when compared to the present day.
"I was just talking to a buddy of mine who's fleeing LA, and he was like, I can't anymore. I tried. I just f---ing, I hung in there. I can't do it anymore. He's like, Everybody went crazy. It's like, there's something that happened because of the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protests and the riots," Rogan recounted on his podcast, as reported by Fox News.
Rogan, who once resided in California and often criticizes its leadership, likened the societal changes to a form of "societal global warming," suggesting that the climate has become unfavorable. "Like, whatever the temperature of society was, it is like it hit societal global warming where it's like It's time to investigate Greenland," he remarked. "It's time to move north. Like, this is a bad climate now. This sucks."
Kisin concurred, noting that the departure of residents from California is telling. "LA is a perfect example of this because we talk about this all the time. You get out of the airport at LAX. You feel that LA sun on your skin, and you just go, This is paradise," Kisin observed. "And they f---ed it up so bad that people will literally pack up and leave paradise."
Rogan proposed that President Trump could capitalize on this discontent by running for governor of California. "What Donald Trump should do, is, when he leaves office, run for governor of California," Rogan suggested with a chuckle. "And just take over California and fix it."
He further speculated that such a scenario would be "one of the funniest moments in American history," envisioning an 82-year-old Trump stepping into the governor's office with promises of solutions. "It would be hilarious if he did. It would be one of the funniest things of all time if an 82-year-old man steps into the office of governor of California," Rogan mused, imitating Trump: "Were going to fix everything. Weve got a problem with water. I know how to get the water."
Rogan concluded with a light-hearted note, emphasizing the comedic potential of the situation: "It would be f---ing hilarious."
