Jennifer Welch, an interior designer and co-host of the "Ive Had It" podcast, recently sparked controversy with her remarks about the Trump administration.
During an appearance, Welch referred to Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, as a "Nazi Jew." This incendiary comment is part of a broader trend among far-left commentators who have drawn parallels between President Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler, a comparison that many argue is reckless given the current politically charged atmosphere in the United States.
As reported by Fox News, Welch and her podcast co-hosts joined CNN's Abby Phillip for an episode titled "Keeping Up With the Cult." Phillip, while advocating for open dialogue among differing perspectives, encouraged her guests to express their genuine beliefs.
"Lets put it on the table," Phillip stated, reflecting on the subtle bigotry of the 1980s and questioning whether transparency about people's views might be beneficial. Welch, in turn, criticized the phrase "I don't see color," suggesting it serves as a facade for underlying racism.
Phillip further contended that political leaders have a responsibility to denounce "reprehensible" ideologies within their parties, arguing that such actions represent leadership rather than cancel culture. Welch, however, posed a provocative question: "What do you do when the racists are in charge, like they are now?"
She went on to label Stephen Miller as a White supremacist, asserting that he essentially runs the White House while President Trump is preoccupied with decorative projects. Welch's remarks escalated when she described Miller, despite his Jewish heritage, as a "Nazi Jew."
In response, a White House spokeswoman dismissed Welch's comments as a "braindead take," suggesting that Welch should focus on her expertise in interior design rather than making inflammatory political statements. The spokeswoman criticized Welch for inciting radical leftists to commit violence against Republicans, arguing that her comments were both baseless and harmful.
During the interview, CNN host Abby Phillip offered a measured response to Welch's accusations against Miller. "Well, look, I can't speak to what Stephen Miller's motivations are. I've met him. I've talked to him. I've interviewed him," Phillip remarked, attempting to provide a balanced perspective.
Welch, however, shifted the conversation to a more trivial note, inquiring about Miller's height, a question echoed by her podcast co-host Angie "Pumps" Sullivan.
