Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has launched a scathing critique of President Donald Trump, accusing him of transforming Chicago into a "war zone."
During a segment on CNN's "State of the Union," Pritzker expressed his disapproval of the President's decision to deploy the National Guard, suggesting it is part of a broader strategy to incite "mayhem on the ground."
According to Gateway Pundit, Pritzker elaborated on his concerns, stating, "Instead of going after the bad guys, theyre just picking up people who are brown and black and then checking their credentials. Are you a U.S. citizen?" He further criticized the federal actions, recounting an incident where a building in South Shore was raided at night, resulting in the detention of 130 individuals.
Pritzker described the operation as overly aggressive, noting, "They broke down doors, they ransacked the place, and there were people that were held. I mean, elderly people and children zip tied, elderly people held for three hours at a time. They are the ones that are making it a war zone."
