In a disturbing incident at Arizona State University, a group identifying themselves as "Target Practice USA" posted a sign featuring an image of Charlie Kirk, the late conservative voice, in crosshairs.
The news was shared by Tyler Bowyer, a close associate of Kirk and the Chief Operating Officer of Turning Point USA, on social media. Bowyer's post contained a photograph of the offensive sticker seen on campus, which he succinctly captioned, "Seen at ASU: 'Target Practice USA'. Sick stuff."
The sticker sign appeared to mock the Turning Point USA logo by replacing it with the phrase "Target Practice USA". It seemed to insinuate that Kirk's organization, which he founded, was a hate group, a claim that is far from the truth.
The sign featured a photograph of Kirk's head in the image of a sniper's scope, with a red target on his neck. It also included a misquoted comment from Kirk about the cost of the Second Amendment, seemingly to justify his murder on September 10 while he was touring the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
According to authorities, the suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, was heavily influenced by leftist ideology.
As reported by RedState, the "Target Practice USA" post sparked outrage on social media, with many condemning it as vile and repugnant. "This has got to stop. And no, it's not both sides," commented one individual.
Podcaster Isabel Brown called it "insane," while conservative speaker Allie Beth Stuckey described it as "disgusting."
This incident follows a series of unsettling events where radicals within the Democratic party and certain professions, including health care and education, appeared to celebrate or justify Kirk's murder.
Despite calls from conservatives and right-wing individuals to tone down the violent rhetoric, the hostility continues unabated. A recent example of this was the chaos that ensued on Capitol Hill when Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) appeared to label Republicans as fascists, prompting a strong response from Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL).
During a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee discussion on President Donald Trump's federalization of local law enforcement, Tlaib refused to yield the floor even after her time had expired. She continued to criticize Trump's "fascist takeover," claiming she was attacking the process, not individuals.
Despite polite requests from Rep. Donalds and the chair to yield, Tlaib continued speaking. An exasperated Donalds responded, "Chairman, I think it's wrong if she's going to refer to me and some of my colleagues, that we are from the Third Reich. This is insane. It's insane. It's insane."
Donalds further challenged Tlaib, asking, "Do I look like a member of the Third Reich to you?" He demanded an answer, to which she finally responded with a "No."
The pleas for the left to cease their inflammatory rhetoric seem to be falling on deaf ears. The Democrats appear to be turning a blind eye to reason, perpetuating a climate of hostility and division. The incident at Arizona State University is a stark reminder of the urgent need for respectful and constructive political discourse in our society.
