Bill Maher Pushes Stephen A. Smith To Shake Up 2028 Race!

In a recent exchange on SiriusXM's Straight Shooter, left-wing HBO host Bill Maher made a compelling case for Stephen A. Smith to consider a presidential run in 2028 under the Democrat Party banner.

Maher, known for his candid opinions, suggested that Smith embodies the "outsider" status that the Democrats desperately need to rejuvenate their image and appeal to disenchanted voters.

During their conversation, Maher pointedly remarked, "I see somebody right here in my Zoom camera," referring to Smith as a potential candidate. He elaborated on his view, describing the Democratic Party as a "ghost brand," akin to companies like Sears or General Electric, which have seen better days but still hold some residual value.

Maher argued that an outsider like Smith could revitalize the party, saying, "I think somebody with that kind of abandon is the only person who is going to win back former Democratic voters who have switched over."

According to Breitbart, Maher emphasized the need for a fresh perspective within the Democratic ranks, stating, "The Democrats definitely need an outsider." He likened the party to a once-thriving brand that requires a bold leader to rebrand and relaunch it. Maher further explained, "Its an asset, right? Because there are still people who know of the company, and if you could have somebody take it over who is not sentimental about that company, and relaunch it and rebrand it, but it would have to be somebody who is unapologetic about calling them out."

Despite Maher's enthusiasm, Smith humorously dismissed the idea, citing financial reasons. "Id have to give up too much money. Im not giving up my money, man. Im not giving up my money," he quipped.

However, Maher persisted, highlighting Smith's unique position as someone who doesn't shy away from critiquing his own party. "People have lost faith in the Democratic Party for very good reasons, and youre the only one I hear who doesnt look like he cares what the other Democrats will say," Maher concluded.

The discussion underscores a broader sentiment among some political commentators that the Democratic Party is in need of a transformative figure to address its current challenges. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the call for an outsider to shake up the status quo resonates with those who believe in limited government and individual freedom, principles often championed by conservative voices.
