President Donald Trump engaged in a "very productive call" with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday morning, discussing a range of significant issues.

The dialogue, which began at 8:00 a.m. Eastern, culminated in plans for Trump to visit China next year and for Xi to reciprocate with a visit to the United States at a suitable time.

As reported by Breitbart, Trump shared the outcome of the call on Truth Social shortly before 11:30 a.m., stating, "I just completed a very productive call with President Xi of China. We made progress on many very important issues including Trade, Fentanyl, the need to bring the War between Russia and Ukraine to an end, and the approval of the TikTok Deal."

He further elaborated on their agreement to meet at the APEC Summit in South Korea, with plans for mutual visits to each other's countries. "I also agreed with President Xi that we would meet at the APEC Summit in South Korea, that I would go to China in the early part of next year, and that President Xi would, likewise, come to the United States at an appropriate time," Trump added.

The conversation marks the second phone call between the two leaders during this administration, following a previous discussion on June 5. Trump expressed optimism about future engagements, noting, "The call was a very good one, we will be speaking again by phone, appreciate the TikTok approval, and both look forward to meeting at APEC!"

In an interview with Fox News, Trump emphasized the proximity of trade and TikTok agreements with China, asserting, "And were very close to deals on all of it. And my relationship with China is very good."

Trump's diplomatic interactions with China have been a focal point of his administration, highlighted by his state visit to China in November 2017 and Xi's visit to the United States in April of the same year.
