Fox News is reporting on a horrific story in which a Louisiana woman allegedly killed a 6-year-old child.
Reportedly, the woman murdered 6-year-old Bella Fontenelle by strangling her. Then, the woman reportedly put the lifeless body into a plastic bucket and wheeled her dead body in a cart to the childs mothers home.
In this case, Hannah Landon, 43, is the suspect, and surveillance footage shows her rolling a chlorine drum on a wagon to the home of the girls mother. The mother is Jennifer Zeledon, and her home is about 10 miles west of New Orleans. Bellas father, Michael Fontenelle, woke up on April 26 to find his girlfriend, Hannah Landon, and daughter gone. He went to the Harahan Police Station at 7:30 AM to report them both missing.
Sadly, the childs remains were found two blocks from her fathers residence, according to a Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Office report. They say discovering the remains didnt take long after filing the missing persons report. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Bellas aunt wrote the following on a GoFundMe page to try to raise funds for burial costs and for the family in general:
This senseless and heinous act has forever destroyed my family. No words can describe the pain that is running through our bodies. Its truly inhumane.
She continued by writing:
Where do I start my beautiful Bella the world is so unjust, Cano wrote. You were given to us for 6 amazing years. You were beyond perfection. Your beautiful little voice, your funny personality, the way you danced, the way you were so delicate and fragile, your smile, your laugh, the way you expressed yourself.
Finally, the message concludes by saying:
No person should ever go through what we are going through, [much] less a mother and father having to lay to rest a child, Sheriff Joseph Lopinto spoke with reporters at a press conference on Wednesday and said that investigators had focused on Landon as the suspect after releasing doorbell video footage.
The video allegedly shows Landon wearing white boots and a red shirt as she hauls the childs lifeless body to the childs mothers house at approximately 9:33 PM on April 25. Landon did not attempt to conceal the wagon or the drum in it.
We believe Bella [was] killed at the fathers house and then transported [over] to the mothers house and taken out of a wagon, said Lopinto.
Jefferson Parish Coroner Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich stated that the childs manner of death was a homicide, and the cause of death was manual strangulation and multiple blunt force injuries to the head.
