In a significant development, Micki Witthoeft, mother of Ashli Babbitt, announced at the 1A Film Fest in Greenville, Texas, that her daughter's military honors, stripped away in the aftermath of her death, would be reinstated.

This news, the most uplifting for the J6 community since January 20, 2025, means that Ashli, an Air Force veteran, will finally receive the military funeral and ceremony she earned through her service.

Ashli Babbitt dedicated 14 years of her life to serving her country, with deployments to Afghanistan and a stint at the Pentagon. Her patriotic spirit was undeniably strong, yet her service was dismissed by what many perceive as the corrupt Biden administration after she was fatally shot by a Capitol Police officer inside the Nation's Capital on January 6, 2021.

As reported by Gateway Pundit, the denial of her military honors and the refusal of funeral homes to conduct any services for Ashli left her family with no choice but to scatter her ashes at sea, without the military service she deserved.

However, the tireless efforts of President Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and their lawyer, Robert Sticht, have led to a reversal of this injustice. Ashli's mother, affectionately known as Mama Micki within the J6 community, relayed the news to the crowd at the film festival, a revelation that was met with a tearful, grateful standing ovation.

"First, I would like to thank President Trump, and a special thanks to Robert Sticht for working so hard to get this done. We are waiting for a meeting to discuss plans and locations for a service. My hope now is that this will help other J6ers get justice," Micki Witthoeft said.

Ashli Babbitt's military honors were reinstated by the Trump administration, correcting a wrong done in 2021 when they were denied following her shooting death by Capitol Hill police officer, Michael Byrd. The announcement was made by Ashli's mother, Micki Witthoeft, at the First Amendment Film Festival in Texas, marking a significant victory for the family and the J6 community.

Micki Witthoeft expressed her gratitude to the many supporters who contributed to this achievement, with special acknowledgment to Attorney Robert Sticht for his exceptional work. "This was a huge win for Ashli and our family," Micki added.

Following Ashli's death, Micki relocated to Washington DC to lead the efforts in support of the January 6 political prisoners held at the DC Gulag. She held a nightly vigil outside the prison, a testament to her unwavering commitment to ensuring that these men and women were not forgotten.

This recent development in Ashli's case serves as a beacon of hope for those still seeking justice, reinforcing the belief that perseverance and dedication can indeed lead to triumph over adversity.
