President Donald Trump has taken decisive action to bolster the integrity of the Social Security system by removing nearly 275,000 illegal immigrants from its rolls.
This move follows an executive order he signed earlier this year, aimed at safeguarding the benefits of American seniors and ensuring that only eligible individuals receive Social Security payments.
During a press briefing at the White House, President Trump elaborated on his administration's efforts, stating, "I signed one big, beautiful bill and allowed no tax on Social Security for our great seniors. Okay, so how's that? Not bad, right? No tax on Social Security for our seniors and to protect our benefits, we've already kicked nearly 275,000 illegal aliens off of the Social Security system. These are people, many of them have already left the country, and yet we were sending them checks all the time."
As reported by The Post Millennial, the President emphasized the importance of these measures in strengthening the system, contrasting his approach with that of President Biden, whom he accused of allowing unchecked participation in the system.
"Biden never kicked anybody off. Everybody joined, and we're carrying out historic deportations to remove many more illegals committing Social Security fraud. It's a Social Security fraud that was taking place at levels that nobody's ever seen," Trump asserted.
In addition to addressing illegal immigrants, the President's administration has also purged 12.4 million names from the Social Security database, which included individuals listed as being over 120 years old.
"There were nearly 135,000 people listed who are over 160 years old, and in some cases, getting payments. So somebody's getting those payments, and we're after that," he remarked, highlighting the need to eliminate fraudulent claims.
The executive order signed in April was specifically "aimed at stopping illegal aliens and other ineligible people from obtaining Social Security Act benefits" and tasked the administration with ensuring that ineligible individuals do not receive funds from these programs.
In addition to these efforts, President Trump addressed crime reduction measures in Washington, DC, which involved federalizing the police force and deploying the National Guard. These actions have led to the arrest of over 100 suspects, including some illegal immigrants, further demonstrating the administration's commitment to law and order.
