An 18-year-old student at Martin Luther King Jr.
high school calls out school officials after an incident on campus. Breitbart reports that the student attends her high school in Riverside, California, and is calling out officials at the school after a viral video of a fight between a transgender male and a group of teenage girls went viral.
Firstly, the question we must address is, why are we affirming the mental confusion of this boy and putting the safety of women in jeopardy by allowing mentally confused men to use womens spaces? the student asked at a Riverside Unified School District Board Meeting.
She also said that the transgender student who identifies as female has access to the womens locker room and bathroom. This is even though the student is biologically male.
She continued by saying: Of course, any man who claims he is a woman will accept it, but what about the women? What about the true girls like myself who are female down to our DNA? and Why dont we ever get a say in whether or not we are comfortable with this? The truth is, we arent. The majority of us arent, and yet nothing has been done to protect the safety of these women.
She concluded her remarks by saying:
I will conclude with this. It all starts with you. You are in charge of the safety of us womenso please do something about it. Thank you,
FOX 11 Los Angeles reported on Tuesday about the fight captured on the other students video. Students and parents of the school told the local news outlet that the transgender student has a history of violent and erratic behavior. Students also noted that fights are a weekly occurrence at their school, but they pointed out that the last two fights involved a transgender student.
Hes [in the] girls locker room, using girls restrooms, said MLK student Aiden Vermeir and followed that up by saying: He spit on my friends, who are girls, females. He shows his genitals in the locker room.
Several other parents stood up to speak at the school board meeting. They alleged that the school is only interested in looking at this incident now because of the media attention it generated.
This isnt right at all. Hes been bothering me and my friends continuously after the first fight, said a female student about an alleged incident at the school.
Overall, many students and parents were upset that so many incidents were permitted to take place. They are spotlighting this and will not stop until they can get something done about it.
