U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff made a significant visit to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) on Friday.
Their mission was to assess potential avenues for aiding Palestinians in the region. This visit coincided with a milestone for the GHF, as it marked the delivery of its 100 millionth meal in Gaza, underscoring the foundation's commitment to humanitarian efforts.
As reported by Breitbart, President Donald Trump recently emphasized the importance of ensuring that food aid reaches the Palestinian people, while simultaneously supporting Israel's ongoing efforts against Hamas terrorists. The President's stance was clear when he remarked that Hamas's refusal to negotiate last month suggested they "want to die." Huckabee expressed his admiration for the GHF's work, describing it as "incredible."
Chapin Fay, a spokesperson for the GHF, highlighted the President's understanding of the complex situation in Gaza. "President Trump understands the stakes in Gaza and that feeding civilians, not Hamas, must be the priority. Today he sent his envoy to serve as his eyes and ears on the ground, reflecting his deep concern and commitment to doing whats right. We were honored to brief his delegation, share our operations, and demonstrate the impact of delivering 100 million meals to those who need them most," Fay stated.
The White House remains open to dialogue with Hamas, albeit with a shift in strategy. Rather than pursuing interim agreements, the administration is advocating for a comprehensive deal that would secure the release of all 50 Israeli hostages, 20 of whom are believed to be alive, and bring an end to the conflict in Gaza.
The GHF's success poses a challenge to Hamas's control over aid distribution in Gaza. This has led to unfounded accusations against the foundation, including allegations of mass killings at aid sites, and criticism from the United Nations. Despite these challenges, the GHF continues to make a significant impact on the ground, providing much-needed assistance to those in dire need.
