Tucker Carlsons quick exit from Fox News continues to make headlines.
It shocked the nation when he was unexpectedly terminated over the weekend. Now, a producer that has never met Carlson is suing him.
Ex-Fox News producer Abby Grossberg claims that Carlson made life hell. Shes also suing the network. She recently appeared on MSNBC and said she had mixed emotions about Tucker Carlson leaving the network.
According to the Independent, There were feelings first of Yes! and then also the reality that you dont want anything bad to happen to anybody, Ms. Grossberg said. But at the same time, Tucker and his executive producer, Justin Wells, who was also fired, were responsible for breaking me and making my life a living hell. So there is a feeling of justice, but its only partial.
Grossberg said she wanted to join the show because she enjoyed the staff when she interviewed and felt there was more to Tucker Carlson than what viewers saw. However, she said the show could have been more professional than it was. The lawsuit accuses Carlson of fostering a toxic work environment. She said the staff made antisemitic remarks. The suit further alleges that the team used vulgar terms when describing women.
The network says that the suit makes false allegations. However, Grossberg says that letting Tucker Carlson go is the equivalent of Fox admitting the claims are valid. Per The Independent, Nevertheless, Tanvir Rahman, one of Ms. Grossbergs attorneys, told the New York Times that the timing of Carlsons sudden dismissal from Fox News functions, in part, as an admission of the systemic lying, bullying and conspiracy-mongering claimed by our client.
The same news source states that several other sources have said that Carlsons inappropriate behavior is one of the reasons the network let him go.
However, others quickly point out that Carlson should not be included in the lawsuit because Grossberg never met him.
According to The Post Millennial, The Spectator reports that lawyers for Grossberg have confirmed that she never actually met Carlson. Like many on the [Tucker Carlson Tonight] staff, Abby never met Tucker Carlson in person because he taped the show from his personal studios in Maine and Florida, and he did not visit Foxs NY HQ during her time there, said one of Grossbergs attorneys Kimberly A. Catala. She says the incidents happened while she was working at the Manhattan office.
