In a bold move, Israel's defense minister declared on Monday that Greta Thunberg, along with a group of international activists, will be shown footage of the October 7th terrorist attack.
This decision follows the Israeli Defense Forces' (IDF) interception of the "selfie yacht" bound for Gaza. The vessel, known as the Madleen, was operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and was apprehended by the IDF as it attempted to breach the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip. This action came just hours after Israeli authorities urged the activists to abandon their mission.
According to One America News, Israel's defense minister, Israel Katz, expressed his approval of the IDF's swift and secure capture of the Madleen. He took to X to commend the operation, stating, "I congratulate the IDF for the quick and safe takeover of the Madleen flotilla to prevent them from breaking the blockade and reaching the shores of Gaza."
Katz further instructed the IDF to present the activists with a video depicting the "horrors of the October 7 massacre" upon their arrival at the port of Ashdod. He elaborated, "It is appropriate that the anti-Semitic Greta and her fellow Hamas supporters see exactly who the Hamas terrorist organization they came to support and for whom they work is, what atrocities they committed against women, the elderly, and children, and against whom Israel is fighting to defend itself."
This incident follows Thunberg's assertion that she and her companions were "kidnapped" by Israeli forces in international waters as they embarked on a mission to "deliver aid to Gaza." The Israeli government, however, dismissed the activists' actions as a mere publicity stunt, noting that they were seen posing for photos on social media.
The ministry remarked on X, "The selfie yacht of the celebrities is safely making its way to the shores of Israel. The passengers are safe and were provided with sandwiches and water."
