MUST SEE: Bernie Sanders And Anderson Cooper Caught TOTALLY Off Guard By Activist's Pronoun Correction!

In a recent town hall event featuring Bernie Sanders, hosted by CNN, a rather peculiar incident unfolded.

The host, Anderson Cooper, found himself in hot water with a civil rights attorney and Democratic activist, Grace Thomas, for a seemingly innocent mistake. Cooper, in his attempt to introduce Thomas, referred to her using the traditional female pronouns, saying, "Shes a local civil rights attorney. Shes a Democrat. Grace?"

However, Thomas was quick to correct Cooper, stating, "Its they/them pronouns, actually, thank you." This correction left Cooper visibly taken aback, and Sanders, who was waiting to hear Thomas's question, appeared equally bewildered.

According to RedState, the incident was not only humorous but also revealing of a deeper issue within the Democratic party. Following the pronoun correction, Thomas posed a question that highlighted a disconnect between the party and its potential voters. "Polling and turnout data indicate that men of all racial demographics are turning away from the Democratic party, but of course, white men, in particular, do not feel that the DNC's messaging targets them and the issues that they care about," Thomas began. "Should progressive campaigns craft policies and messaging to better encapsulate these voters, and if the answer is yes, how do they do so without abandoning marginalized voters?"

This question, coupled with the earlier pronoun correction, paints a picture of a party struggling to balance its progressive ideals with the realities of its voter base. The insistence on using non-traditional pronouns, while seen as a sign of inclusivity by some, can also be perceived as alienating by others.

In stark contrast, the Trump administration has taken a more traditional approach to gender pronouns. Shortly after President Trump took office, federal employees were instructed to remove pronouns from their email signatures. This move was in line with an executive order signed by President Trump titled "Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government." The order states, "It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female. These sexes are not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality."

This policy was recently confirmed by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. She stated, As a matter of policy, we do not respond to reporters with pronouns in their bios. This statement came in response to a report by The New York Times that several reporters with pronouns in their signatures were ignored by senior Trump press aides.

The differing approaches to gender pronouns by the Democratic party and the Trump administration highlight a broader ideological divide. While the Democrats strive for inclusivity and recognition of non-traditional gender identities, the Trump administration adheres to a more traditional, binary view of gender. This divide, as exemplified by the town hall incident, may be a contributing factor to the disconnect between the Democratic party and its potential voters.
