Three Colorado teachers are dead as a mysterious tragedy befalls the school.

According to the Post, a third teacher died in the Cherry Creek School District this past weekend. This happened as investigators were looking into the mysterious deaths of the first two. There is a suspicion that the first two might have had bacterial meningitis, but it is unclear what has happened to this third teacher.

The Post reports that Willow Creek Elementary School physical education teacher Scott Nash died of mysterious circumstances and is still under investigation.

Scott has been an invaluable part of our Willow Creek community for the last two years, supporting students K-5 in our physical education program, said principal Mary Whitney in a letter to parents. The letter continued: He will undoubtedly be missed by students and staff alike.

Eaglecrest High School in Aurora is closed on Monday due to the death of teacher Maddie Schmidt. The Arapahoe County Public Health Department determined that her death was directly tied to bacterial meningitis. Cherry Creek School District told Fox News Digital that his death was unrelated to bacterial meningitis.

Schmidt and fellow faculty member Judith Geoffroy both died on the same weekend. However, the cause of death for Judith Geoffroy is unclear at this time. Both individuals worked in the integrated learning center of the school, so the chances that both deaths may be linked is a distinct possibility.

The Arapahoe County Coroners Office spoke with Fox News Digital and said that the womens bodies are undergoing ancillary testing. The cause of death will not be formally released until the tests are finalized. The school district and public health officials are working hand-in-hand to try to get to the bottom of this and contain the problem.

The district put out a statement and said: Arapahoe County Public Health will reach out directly to all staff members and families of students determined to be close contact, and Those individuals will be offered preventative antibiotics.
