A video that has been making waves across various social media platforms since late March features an Ohio-based World War II veteran, Denver Moore, who is about to turn 104.
The video, which has garnered hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of views, shows Moore donning a red MAGA hat and extending an invitation to none other than President Donald Trump to grace his birthday celebration.
In the video, Moore, who is still full of vitality despite his age, addresses the President, saying, "I got to vote for you again, and I hope I get to vote for you some more." The video was recorded and uploaded by Allison Dudley, a friend of Moore's family. Dudley also made a personal appeal to Trump, stating, "Hes a World War II veteran Army Air Corps. You should come and visit him. He wants you here for his birthday."
According to RedState, Moore resides at the Danbury Senior Living facility in Massilon, a town located just south of Cleveland. His life is a testament to the quintessential American dream. He grew up on a farm in Noble County, Ohio, worked at Hercules Engine Co., and was drafted into service in 1942. After the war, he served as a U.S. Postal Service worker and raised a family, as reported by The Repository.
Rich, Moore's son, expressed his hope to News 5 Cleveland that his father's birthday wish would come true, stating, "If this makes him happy, then great. Whatever it takes." Moore's wish is rooted in his profound patriotism. He expressed his love for his country, saying, "Its a wonderful country. Im glad God gave us the United States."
Rob Powers, a news anchor at Channel 5 in Cleveland, interviewed Moore about the viral post and encouraged the public to get the message to the White House. In the interview, Moore praised Trump, stating, "Hes the best president I ever lived under." When Powers suggested it would be fantastic if the president attended his birthday, Moore responded with a smile, "Yeah, come on Trump!"
Moore's infectious enthusiasm has won him many admirers at his residence. Kelli Beckler, the executive director of Danbury Senior Living, spoke highly of Moore to The Canton Repository, saying, "We all really enjoy having Denver as one of our residents here. We love hearing his stories. He's a great historian and storyteller, and it's a real honor to be able to be a part of this with him."
Many internet users, including myself, are urging the President to make Moore's birthday memorable by paying him a visit. Moore's birthday falls on May 15th, but the celebration is slated for May 17th. It would indeed be a momentous occasion if the President were to honor Moore's request, and we look forward to potentially reporting on this heartwarming event.
