In a recent call with the activist group "Tesla Takedown," Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett expressed her desire for a significant protest against Elon Musk's electric vehicle company.

The protest is scheduled for March 29, coinciding with Crockett's birthday. During the call, she stated, "All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down! Yes!" This statement has sparked controversy, with some conservative voices accusing her of endorsing domestic terrorism.

According to The Blaze, Crockett emphasized her personal motivations for supporting the protest, saying, "I am truly here for very selfish reasons. Starting with, on March 29, it's my birthday. And all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down! Yes!"

She further elaborated on her perspective, noting her experience on the DOGE Oversight Committee and asserting that "there is only one language that the people that are in charge understand right now, and that language is money." Despite the strong rhetoric, Crockett clarified her stance on nonviolent protest, stating, "When I say fighting, I mean that figuratively. Obviously everything that I am promoting is nonviolence." She reiterated, "We know we are peaceful, loving people, and this is not about violence. That's what they do when they do insurrections like Jan. 6."

While many demonstrations against Musk have remained peaceful, there have been instances of violence and vandalism. In Las Vegas, Nevada, for example, five Tesla vehicles were targeted with Molotov cocktails and gunfire. President Donald Trump has addressed such incidents, pledging to pursue domestic terrorism charges against those who attack Musk's companies due to his support for Trump's policies. "They're bad guys. They're the same guys who screw around with our schools and universities," Trump remarked. "We're gonna catch you, and you're gonna go through hell."
