Elon Musk, the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has expressed his belief that he is being targeted by what he terms "the Democrat propaganda machine."
Musk, who made these comments during a conversation with podcast host Joe Rogan, suggested that this alleged campaign against him is motivated by a desire to maintain fraudulent entitlements for illegal immigrants.
As reported by Conservative Daily News, Musk's department, DOGE, has been instrumental in curbing waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government. The department's efforts have reportedly saved taxpayers a staggering $65 billion.
Musk, during his appearance on "The Joe Rogan Experience," claimed that Democrats are keen on ensuring illegal immigrants continue to receive government benefits, with the ultimate goal of transforming them into a substantial voter base.
Musk told Rogan, "If I were to say like, whats at the heart of the sort of like, why is the Democrat propaganda machine so fired up to destroy me? The main reason is that entitlements fraud that includes like Social Security, Disability, Medicaid entitlements fraud for illegal aliens is what is serving as a gigantic magnetic force to pull people in from all around the world and keep them here."
He further explained his perspective, stating, "Like basically if you pay people at a standard of living that is above 90% of Earth, then you have a very powerful incentive for 90% of Earth to come here and to stay here. But if you end the illegal alien fraud, then you turn off that magnet and they leave and they stop coming and the ones that are here, many of them will simply leave. And if that happens they will lose a massive number of Democratic voters."
Musk also pointed out that illegal immigrants are granted voting rights in New York state and city elections. This claim is supported by a law passed by the New York City Council in 2022, which extended voting rights in municipal elections to approximately 800,000 noncitizens holding green cards or work permits.
While this law was initially blocked by a judge, it is currently under appeal in New York's highest court. Noncitizen voting, although not widespread, is permitted in several municipal elections across the country, including in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Burlington, Vermont.
Vice President JD Vance, during his presidential campaign, also highlighted what he termed a "massive fraud problem" in Social Security and Medicare, attributing it to illegal immigrants receiving benefits. He told CNBC, "Before we start talking about doing anything to the benefits for Americans who have earned them, lets deal with the illegal alien fraud in our Social Security and Medicare system. I think that costs us a lot of money."
In a conversation with Tucker Carlson, co-founder of the Daily Caller News Foundation, on October 8, Musk predicted that if Democrats were to win the 2024 election, they would eliminate battleground states by legalizing the status of illegal immigrants and converting them into Democratic voters.
He said, "My prediction is if theres another 4 years of a [Democrat] administration, they will legalize so many illegals that are there that the next election there wont be any swing-states. And well be a single party country just like California is a single party state. Its a super majority Dem state in California."
