In a recent update on Truth Social, President-elect Donald Trump revealed that Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, has expressed interest in meeting him at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Trump's post read, "Where are you? When are you coming to the 'Center of the Universe,' Mar-a-Lago. Bill Gates asked to come, tonight. We miss you and x! New Years Eve is going to be AMAZING!!! DJT."
As reported by The Post Millennial, this development comes amidst a series of meetings between Trump and various tech moguls at his Florida estate, leading up to his January inauguration. Some of these executives have also made significant contributions to his inaugural fund.
Prior to Christmas, Trump had a meeting with Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. Bezos, accompanied by his fiance Lauren Sanchez, made a generous donation of $1 million through his company to the inaugural fund. Furthermore, Amazon's streaming of the inauguration is considered an in-kind donation, adding another $1 million to the fund.
Shou Chew, the CEO of TikTok, also had a meeting with Trump, given the company's ongoing struggle against a potential ban in the US. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, held a private meeting with Trump in late November. It was later disclosed in December that Zuckerberg had directed his company to donate $1 million to the inaugural fund.
Despite reportedly donating $50 million to a Vice President Kamala Harris PAC for the 2024 election, Gates extended his congratulations to Trump on his resounding victory in November. He stated, "Congratulations to President Trump and VP-elect Vance. America is at its strongest when we use ingenuity and innovation to improve lives here in the U.S. and around the world. I hope we can work together now to build a brighter future for everyone." This shows the potential for collaboration and unity, even amidst differing political affiliations, for the betterment of the nation.
