A New York City man faces charges of one of the most horrifying crimes imaginable.
Fox News reports that the man is accused of abducting, beating, and raping a woman for hours on a New York City bus. Police say he handcuffed and put her in leg shackles on the bus while he assaulted her for hours.
Alexander Isaac, 30, stands accused of forcing the woman into his RV on Monday morning in Staten Island before abusing her. Isaac faces many charges related to this incident, including rape, assault, kidnapping, criminal possession of a weapon, and unlawful imprisonment.
Fox 5 New York obtained court documents in this case that outlined the details of the attack. After nine hours of being assaulted, the victim was able to break away from the situation and made her way to the 120th Precinct, several blocks from the RV. Not long after the incident occurred, the suspect was arrested and arraigned on Wednesday.
The story took a turn when detectives with the New York Police Department (NYPD) armed with a search warrant found suspicious materials in the RV. According to the New York Post, detectives found an active pipe bomb plus assorted chemicals. The NYPD Bomb Squad was detached to remove the explosive device.
Fox 5 spoke with neighbors of Isaacs, and they said that he was a quiet and reserved man who mostly kept to himself.
The NYPD would not comment more on this story at the moment. Fox News Digital reached out to police for more information and clarification on certain elements of the story, but law enforcement was not willing to divulge more on this at the time.
Issac was held on a $700,000 bond or $200,000 cash bond. An order of protection was also issued. Isaac is scheduled for a court appearance on Friday.
