CNN Host Who Called Trump A Nazi Demands Melania Retract THIS 'Reckless' Claim...

In a recent interview with Fox and Friends, former First Lady Melania Trump expressed her concerns about the role of mainstream media in creating a hostile environment that could potentially endanger her husband, Donald Trump.

Melania Trump's comments came in the wake of two assassination attempts on the GOP nominee.

According to The Post Millennial, Melania Trump did not directly attribute the violence towards her husband to the mainstream media. Instead, she suggested that their portrayal of him contributes to a "toxic atmosphere" that empowers those who wish to harm him. "Is it really shocking that all this egregious violence goes against my husband, especially that we hear the leaders from the opposition party and mainstream media branding him as a threat to democracy, calling him vile names?" Melania asked. She further stated, "They're only fueling a toxic atmosphere and giving power, all of these people that they (sic) want to do harm to him. This needs to stop. The country needs to unite."

CNN host Christiane Amanpour, who has previously compared Donald Trump to a Nazi, responded to Melania's interview by stating that it was "dangerous" for the former first lady to make such accusations. "Mrs Trump is mistaken, political violence is not the fault of the 'mainstream media' and I wish she would take back this false and dangerous accusation," Amanpour posted.

Amanpour herself has been critical of Donald Trump, accusing him of engaging in "Nazi talk" and equating his "modern-day assault" on "knowledge, history and truth" to the Kristallnacht, a horrific event in 1938 where Nazis torched synagogues, Jewish homes, and murdered nearly 100 Jews.

The backdrop to this exchange is a series of violent incidents targeting the GOP nominee. In July, Thomas Matthew Crooks managed to fire several shots at Donald Trump from a rooftop during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The attack resulted in Trump being shot in the ear and the death of Corey Comperatore, while David Dutch and James Copenhaver were critically injured. More recently, Ryan Routh reportedly waited for around 12 hours before getting within 300-500 yards of the GOP nominee with an AK-47-style firearm, marking another assassination attempt.

These incidents underscore the heightened tensions and the critical need for unity and civility in the current political climate. As Melania Trump emphasized, "This needs to stop. The country needs to unite."
