In a heartwarming gesture, former President Donald Trump was seen handing a $100 bill to a mother of three at Sprankles Neighborhood Market in Kittanning, Pennsylvania.
The woman, identified as Jenny Kantz, was in the process of paying for her groceries when Trump intervened, offering her the cash to help offset the high cost of food.
According to the Daily Caller, the incident was captured on video by Trump's communications team. As he handed over the money, Trump said, "Here, it's gonna go down a little bit," referring to Kantz's grocery bill. "It just went down 100 bucks." Kantz expressed her gratitude, to which Trump responded, "We'll do that for you from the White House, alright."
Kantz, accompanied by her husband Bryant, later appeared on "Fox and Friends," where she disclosed that her grocery bill amounted to approximately $194. She also revealed that she did not use Trump's money towards her groceries, choosing instead to keep it as a memento of her encounter with the former president. "Oh, I'm gonna frame it," she told the Fox News co-hosts, proudly displaying the $100 bill.
During his visit to Sprankle's, Trump also purchased a large bag of popcorn, enthusiastically telling his team and surrounding customers, "we gotta get it." When asked by a customer if the popcorn was good, Trump humorously replied, "Is that the best? If it is, I'll be sending. I'll be in Washington, D.C., hopefully in the Oval Office. I'll send for popcorn."
Trump's arrival at Sprankle's was met with jubilation by hundreds of supporters who had gathered outside the store. Inside, he engaged in conversation with the store owner, inquiring about the local business's performance against larger corporations. The owner lamented the impact of inflation on his business, stating, "Prices go up, yet your sales are down." Trump later rallied at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her "ruinous" economic policies and the rampant inflation under the Biden-Harris administration. He reasserted his plan to eliminate taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security for seniors, much to the delight of his supporters.
