In a recent rally held in North Carolina, former President Donald Trump pledged to intensify the fight against crimes perpetrated by illegal immigrants in major American cities.

He made a firm commitment to dismantle sanctuary cities, should he be re-elected.

"Today, I'm announcing a new plan to end all sanctuary cities in North Carolina and all across our country," Trump boldly stated at the rally, as reported by The Post Millennial.

In his address to the crowd, Trump outlined his strategy, "As soon as I take office, we will immediately surge federal law enforcement to every city which is failing, which is a lot of them, to turn over criminal aliens." He further assured his supporters, "We will hunt down and capture every single gang member, drug dealer, rapist, murderer, and migrant criminal that is being illegally harbored.

Trump also took the opportunity to criticize the leadership in major urban areas, asserting that the nations top 25 cities are all under Democratic control. He vowed to restore law and order in these regions, which he believes have been compromised under their current leadership.

Sanctuary cities, typically governed by policies that limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement, have been a contentious issue in the immigration debate. These cities often decline to share individuals' immigration statuses with federal authorities and refuse to surrender those arrested for other crimes to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when ICE issues detainer requests.

Trump's renewed hardline stance on immigration comes in the wake of several high-profile incidents involving individuals in the country illegally committing violent crimes. This development underscores the former President's commitment to tackling immigration issues head-on, a cornerstone of his conservative agenda.
