Ward Clark, a writer for RedState, recently drew on the wisdom of Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" to analyze the political strategies of former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Clark quoted Sun Tzu's words, "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."
Clark argues that Trump, known for his candid and unfiltered persona, understands himself and his political opponents well. He cites a recent ad released by the Trump War Room that features an unedited interview with Kamala Harris, which Clark believes showcases her weaknesses as a speaker.
The ad includes an 11-minute interview Harris gave to a local ABC News affiliate in Philadelphia. Clark criticizes Harris's performance, stating, "The Queen of Word Salads struck again, and her answers are precisely as nonsensical as we've come to expect. It would be embarrassing if it weren't so pathetic. The woman is just plain no good at this, and it shows."
Clark praises Team Trump's strategy of giving Harris more exposure, stating that they have achieved "Troll Factor Eight." He argues that the best way to counter the left is to let them express their views openly. He also notes the contrasting reactions of the Right and the Left, stating, "It's telling that the Right gets angry when the Left lies about what they think, say, or do, while the Left gets angry when the Right tells the truth about what they think, say, or do."
Clark also quotes another line from Sun Tzu: "The whole secret lies in confusing the enemy, so that he cannot fathom our real intent." He suggests that there is no need to confuse Harris, as she appears to be confused already.
Clark concludes by predicting that the political landscape will become even more chaotic as the November elections approach.
