Armie Hammer, the once-celebrated actor who has been embroiled in scandal, recently revealed in an Instagram video that he had sold his beloved truck due to financial constraints.

Hammer, who has been accused of cannibalism and sexual misconduct, has been attempting to rebuild his life in Los Angeles, but has found it challenging to maintain his previous lifestyle.

According to the Daily Caller, Hammer's video was a poignant farewell to his truck, a vehicle that held significant sentimental value for him. He reminisced about the many road trips and memories associated with the truck, including bringing his children home from the hospital in it. "So, Ive been back in L.A. for a couple of weeks now this is my truck, Hammer told his fans. I bought this for myself in 2017 as a Christmas gift for myself, he added.

The actor, known for his roles in films such as "The Social Network" and "Call Me By Your Name," expressed his deep affection for the vehicle. I have loved this truck intensely and taken it camping and across country multiple times and on long road trips, and I took it for one last road trip to CarMax, he said. Despite the humor in his remark that the video was not an ad for CarMax, the underlying sadness was palpable as he prepared to part with his truck.

Hammer's financial struggles were laid bare as he revealed the reason for selling his truck. This is because Im selling my truck. Since being back in L.A., I have put about $400 or $500 dollars worth of gas in it, and I cant afford it. I cant afford the gas anymore, Hammer confessed. However, he attempted to maintain a positive outlook, stating, But you know what? Thats okay. I got a new car. Its tiny. Its a hybrid. Im probably gonna put about 10 bucks of gas in it a month and this is it.

The actor, who turned a year older the day after the video, expressed hope for a fresh start. Heres to new beginnings. Its my birthday tomorrow, he said, before adding that he will be starting my birthday in a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life in Los Angeles.

As he prepared to leave his truck behind, Hammer showed his followers the contents of his vehicle and the small bag he was given to pack up his belongings. I appreciate it all. I hope you take as good of care of the next person, he said to the truck, patting the steering wheel one last time.

Hammer, who shares two children with his ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, has faced a slew of allegations, including cannibalism and sexual misconduct. Despite the severity of these accusations, he has not been charged. As he navigates these tumultuous times, Hammer's recent video underscores the personal and financial toll these allegations have taken on his life.
