In the aftermath of the recent Biden-Trump presidential debate, a fresh national poll has revealed that a significant 80% of voters harbor concerns about President Biden's ability to serve a second term, questioning his mental and physical fitness.

The poll, conducted by NBC News, surveyed 800 registered voters and found that Trump was leading Biden by a narrow margin of 45% to 43%.

According to Fox News, the poll was carried out between July 7-9, prior to the shocking assassination attempt on former President Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania. Despite the close race, the poll unveiled that a staggering 62% of Democratic voters would prefer another candidate at the helm of their party instead of Biden. An overwhelming 79% of all voters expressed anxiety about the 81-year-old Bidens mental and physical capabilities, a concern shared by only 50% of respondents for Trump, who is 78.

The poll also highlighted that 58% of the respondents had significant or moderate concerns about Trump being found guilty by a New York jury on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in a hush money case. Additional felony charges related to attempts to overturn the 2020 election also raised eyebrows.

The recent debate, however, seemed to have little impact on voters' preferences, with 71% of respondents stating it "made no difference" in their support for either candidate. Bidens performance at the June 27 debate, which was widely criticized, appears to have altered the course of the race, with some congressional Democrats even suggesting he step aside.

The NBC poll also explored a potential head-to-head matchup between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been suggested as a possible replacement for Biden. In this hypothetical scenario, Trump leads Harris by a slim margin of 47% to 45%.
