This Is INSANE: Hollywood Mega-Star's Son ARRESTED After Attempting To Murder Mother

Weston Cage, the son of renowned actor Nicolas Cage, has recently been embroiled in a legal predicament.

He was taken into custody on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon, following his voluntary surrender to the authorities in response to a warrant issued earlier this year.

As reported by Fox News, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Weston Cage walked into the 77th precinct in the early hours of Wednesday, July 10. The 33-year-old was booked at 7:57 a.m. and was subsequently released on a $150,000 bond at 9:50 a.m. the same day.

The warrant for Weston's arrest originated from a police report filed for battery during an incident on April 28th. The incident in question involved a heated argument between Weston and his mother, Christina Fulton, at her Los Angeles residence. The disagreement allegedly escalated into a physical altercation. Law enforcement officials reported that "Cage punched two victims multiple times," resulting in injuries. The case was presented to the Los Angeles district attorney's office on May 10, leading to two counts of assault with a deadly weapon being filed against Weston.

Nicolas Cage, who shares his eldest son Weston with ex Christina Fulton, also has two other children: Kal-El, 18, with his third wife, Alice Kim, and a 22-month-old daughter, August, with his fifth wife, Riko Shibata. Representatives for both Weston and Nicolas Cage have yet to respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Weston Cage's arrest is not his first brush with the law. He has previously been candid about his struggles with substance abuse. In 2017, he was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run in Los Angeles, according to People magazine.

In 2015, Weston shared his journey towards sobriety with the public. He admitted, "It got to the point where people thought I was digging my grave." However, he also acknowledged the positive influence of his family, particularly his children, on his path to recovery. "Having the combination of Danielle and Lucian and my father in my life, just that trinity right there, basically is going to keep me here," Weston stated at the time. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the personal battles faced by individuals in the public eye, and the importance of family support in overcoming such challenges.
