WATCH: Country Music Star BASHES Jack Blacks Patriotic Biden Stunt

Country music star John Rich has taken aim at comedian Jack Black for his public endorsement of President Joe Biden in the upcoming 2024 election.

This election is widely regarded by political analysts as one of the most consequential in recent times. The anticipated face-off between Biden and former President Donald Trump, the presumptive Democratic and Republican presidential nominees respectively, is a rematch of the 2020 election. The two political heavyweights have been at odds over a range of issues, including the economy, abortion rights, and the state of democracy.

According to Newsweek, on June 15, a high-profile fundraiser was held in support of Biden, featuring a host of celebrities such as Jimmy Kimmel, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Barbra Streisand. Jack Black, donning a pair of American flag overalls, took to the stage to express his support for the incumbent president. Rich, however, has recently taken issue with Black's appearance at the fundraiser, continuing his trend of criticizing Biden and his supporters on social media.

Rich took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice his criticism of Black, stating, "For a comedian, Ol @JackBlack doesn't have the best timing does he?" This comment was in response to a video shared by the X account @BidensWins, a platform dedicated to "Keeping score of President Biden's wins" and serving as the "largest online community of President Biden's supporters."

The video, captioned "BREAKING: Jack Black just delivered the strongest endorsement of President Biden this cycle and in the process he absolutely demolishes Donald Trump. Retweet so all Americans see this," showcased Black humorously claiming to have declined various opportunities, including MCing a bat mitzvah and judging an avocado festival, to show his support for Biden. "And when the president wins in Novemberyeah!I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a sweet shout-out in his victory speech for what I gave up to be here," Black quipped, adding, "Because when democracy is at stake, Jack Black answers the call. Mr. President, you're welcome."

The post garnered a mixed bag of reactions. Some users, including actor Mark Hamill, expressed their support for Black. Others, however, were less impressed, with comments ranging from "This guy is irrelevant anymore, a joke" to "The boot-licking is beyond grotesque."

The 2024 election comes on the heels of a heated presidential debate in Atlanta, Georgia, between Biden and Trump. The debate, which took place in June, saw the two candidates locked in a close race, with polls indicating a tight contest just over four months before the election. The debate covered a range of contentious issues, including the economy, the Israel-Hamas conflict, immigration, and abortion.

The stakes were high for both candidates entering the debate. Polls suggest a significant number of voters are dissatisfied with their options ahead of the election. Both Biden, 81, and Trump, 78, have faced questions about their age. The debate provided an opportunity for them to address these concerns and appeal to undecided voters who could swing the election in key states come November.
