WATCH: Nikki Haley BLASTS Stephanopoulos Pre-Biden Interview...

In a recent resurgence of a heated exchange from last year, Nikki Haley, the former Republican presidential candidate, took a jab at George Stephanopoulos of ABC.

The dispute, which originally took place on ABC's "Good Morning America" last August, centered around President Biden's mental acuity.

According to Fox News, during the interview, Haley reiterated her belief that "a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for Kamala Harris." She further stated, "There's no way Joe Biden is gonna finish his term," and predicted that Kamala Harris would be the next president, a prospect she suggested should alarm every American. Haley's comments were met with interruption and skepticism from Stephanopoulos, who demanded evidence for her assertions.

Haley responded by challenging Americans to consider whether they believed Biden would complete his term, citing his perceived mental decline over the past few years. "We can't have an 81-year-old president. We have to have a new generational leader. The Senate has become the most privileged nursing home in the country. We've got to start making sure we have a new generation," Haley argued. She further criticized the media for focusing on Biden and Trump, urging a shift towards discussions about the country's future.

Stephanopoulos, however, continued to press Haley for concrete evidence that Biden would not finish his term. In response, Haley pointed to Biden's apparent inability to recall recent events and personal details, such as the number of his grandchildren. She advocated for mental competency tests for individuals over the age of 75, emphasizing the importance of having decision-makers in top mental condition. "Joe Biden is not at the top of his game. You know it. I know it. The American people know it," Haley declared.

Following the viral spread of their exchange, Haley took to social media to taunt Stephanopoulos with a simple question: "Believe me now, George?"

In a recent development, it was announced that Biden would be sitting down with Stephanopoulos for his first interview since the last presidential debate. The interview is expected to address Biden's performance at the debate and his future political plans amidst calls from within his party for him to step aside.

Interestingly, while Stephanopoulos was defensive about Biden's mental acuity last summer, recent months have seen a surge in reporting highlighting the president's mental decline. Reports from CNN's Carl Bernstein and Axios suggest that Biden's allies have witnessed numerous instances of his mental decline, and that his engagement is limited to specific hours of the day.

Biden's startling performance at the debate has caused a political stir, with many in the liberal media urging him to withdraw from the presidential race. The New York Times editorial board, while acknowledging Biden's admirable presidency, suggested that his greatest public service would be to announce his decision not to run for re-election.

Despite the mounting criticism, top Democrats, including former President Obama, continue to support Biden. In a recent statement, Obama acknowledged that "bad debate nights happen," but emphasized the stark choice between Biden, who he described as a lifelong fighter for ordinary people, and a self-serving opponent. He concluded by reminding the public of the high stakes in the upcoming November elections.
