A revered educational figure, George Stepp, met a tragic end in a shocking accident at a McDonald's outlet in Texas, as reported by the police.

The 81-year-old was fatally struck by a vehicle reversing out of a parking spot.

According to The Independent, the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on a Saturday at a McDonald's in Lewisville, Texas. A red Toyota truck, while backing out, suddenly accelerated, hitting Stepp as he was exiting the fast-food establishment. The authorities declared him dead at the scene.

The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
