In a recent incident that has raised eyebrows, numerous cruise ship passengers disembarked in the Pacific Northwest and flew into Houston Intercontinental Airport, exhibiting flu-like symptoms.
This situation necessitated a comprehensive cleaning of the aircraft, as confirmed by officials.
The event unfolded at Terminal C around 6:20 p.m. on Friday when a large number of individuals from a travel group, who had just arrived from Vancouver, British Columbia, reported feeling unwell. The Houston Fire Department revealed that as many as 30 people from a group of approximately 75 were ill, with many suffering from nausea.
Despite the alarming number of sick passengers, none required hospitalization, as reported by ABC-13. The passengers were traveling on United Airlines Flight 1528, which was subsequently taken out of service for a meticulous cleaning before it was deemed fit for flying again, according to the airline company.
United Airlines further disclosed that Flight 1528 was a Boeing 737 MAX 8, carrying 163 passengers and a crew of six. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of health precautions in the travel industry, particularly in the context of the ongoing global health crisis.
