Trumps Triple A-List Post-Verdict Dinner: Why Top Supporters Are More Confident Than Ever!

Following his conviction in the New York City hush money trial, former President Donald Trump was reportedly in "very high spirits" during a dinner with top supporters, according to John Catsimatidis, CEO of Gristedes and a known Trump insider.

Catsimatidis described the Thursday evening gathering as a "triple A-list" event, attended by approximately "15 people, plus staff," including Trump's son, Eric. Despite the recent historic felony conviction, Trump, 77, maintained a buoyant demeanor, Catsimatidis noted.

"Everybody in that room believes that if there is not a change in Washington, that it could be the end of the free world," Catsimatidis asserted. He added that the dinner guests likened the trial to the 1992 comedy "My Cousin Vinny," with Catsimatidis himself dismissing it as a "joke" and claiming that "the entire world is laughing at the United States of America!"

During the dinner, Trump engaged in conversation with each attendee, soliciting their opinions on potential vice presidential picks for the Republican frontrunner. According to Catsimatidis, the top choices included South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

Despite some attendees expressing their dislike for Haley, Catsimatidis suggested she could be an ideal choice to help Trump secure the presidency. He drew a parallel between Haley and Lyndon B. Johnson, stating, "John F. Kennedy hated [Johnson], but he won because he picked [Johnson]."

Catsimatidis, a self-proclaimed Republican and grocery billionaire, recently made headlines for removing former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani from his radio show.
