Ex-Senator Drops Bombshell On Trump's 2024 Chances, Urges Dems To Listen...

Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia has expressed his belief that former President Donald Trump could potentially secure a victory in the 2024 election.

Speaking to Fox News, Manchin, who has decided not to seek re-election, stated that the Republican Party needs to be "grand again," while the Democratic Party needs to be "responsible again."

Manchin, a senator from a predominantly Republican state, shared his views on "One Nation" with host Brian Kilmeade. He described his constituents as "pragmatic" and "hardworking people" who value freedom and democracy. "They believe in giving a helping hand, but they believe you ought to get off your butt and do something sometimes," he said.

The senator, who distances himself from being a "Washington Democrat," expressed concern about the current state of both political parties. "The parties have gone so extreme, and somehow we've got to bring the Grand Old Party make it grand again and make the Democrat Party responsible again," he said.

Manchin revealed that he has had conversations with President Biden about the direction the country is taking. "I've told the president, I said, 'You've got to be careful,'" he said, expressing concern about the shift in public expectations from what they can do for their country to what their country can do for them.

Manchin also commented on the country's response to the Israel-Hamas conflict and the "misinformation" that is leading people to support "a terrorist organization like Hamas." He compared the current protests to those during the Vietnam era, stating that the current protests are "trying to tear down the fabric of America."

The senator also shared an incident involving Cindy McCain, widow of the late Senator John McCain, who told him that 30 trucks full of food intended for the people of Gaza were "hijacked" by Hamas.
