A violent altercation involving undocumented immigrants erupted in Times Square on Thursday, resulting in a 17-year-old being stabbed amidst the chaos.

The incident unfolded near the site where two police officers were previously assaulted by a group of illegal immigrants in January. According to Fox News, the clash occurred at approximately 5:30 pm in front of 251 West 42nd Street. The victim, reportedly hailing from Nicaragua, was pursued by a group following a dispute, culminating in him being stabbed in the back with a large knife.

Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene and promptly transported the injured teenager to Bellevue Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.

A witness, employed in Times Square, recounted to the New York Post, "I saw someone running... there was blood coming from his back, coming from everywhere."

Expressing concern over the escalating violence, the witness remarked, "It's dangerous. Some people are just crazy."

Following the assault, law enforcement apprehended a 22-year-old individual and six others, some of whom are undocumented immigrants. Additionally, authorities are actively pursuing over a dozen suspects linked to the altercation.

Subsequently, another skirmish ensued nearby, outside the Hard Rock Cafe, after a disagreement between two factions. A 28-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was subsequently hospitalized at Bellevue. Three individuals were arrested at the scene.

While police have indicated no direct correlation between the two altercations, the investigation remains ongoing.
