In a recent vote on Wednesday evening, Representatives Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib made headlines as they cast their votes against a bill aimed at barring Hamas terrorists from entering the United States.

Meanwhile, Delia Ramirez opted for a neutral stance by voting present.

The bill in question, HR 6679, also known as the "No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorist Acts," carries significant implications for individuals involved in the October 7 attack on Israel, as well as subsequent attacks. According to the bill, anyone who "participated in, planned, financed, afforded material support to, or otherwise facilitated" these acts would be rendered ineligible for any relief under the immigration laws. Furthermore, the bill states that any alien who played a role in the initiation, planning, financing, material support, or facilitation of any of the attacks against Israel initiated by Hamas from October 7, 2023, onwards, would be deemed inadmissible.

The vote on this crucial bill saw a resounding majority, with 422 members of the House voting in favor of its passage. This development marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to address the threat posed by Hamas terrorists and safeguard the security of the United States.
