It turns out that Liam Neeson will not likely be a returning guest on The View anytime soon.
He is a 70-year-old Irish-American actor who said that his appearance on The View was embarrassing, and he even told Rolling Stone that the entire segment left him uncomfortable.
During the show, co-host Joy Behar said she couldnt help but reveal her longtime crush on Liam Neeson. The New York Post also reports some clips played throughout the segment, including a strange clip where Behar commented, I would just like to have my ashes sprinkled over Liam Neeson.
The actor was there to promote his film Marlowe. This will be his 100th film, yet one of the panelists found it appropriate to comment, Joy wants to get taken by you.
Neeson told Rolling Stone: I was in the dressing room drinking a cup of tea, turned the TV up, and I thought, oh, this will be great.
He continued, saying, Theyre talking about gun violence in America, and I agree its an American problem. I go onstage and join the ladies during the break, and I was congratulating them on this discussion. And then our segment starts, and its just all this BS with Joy and Liam Neeson and having a crush, and Ive known Whoopi for years and Joy a little bit, but I just wasnt impressed.
He stated that he always felt uncomfortable in those situations and didnt feel it was appropriate for them to have brought up such topics while he was there. He feels it was crossing a line and made him feel out of his element.
After the on-air segment, the actor later said he had an intelligent conversation with co-host Sunny Hostin. He added that the entire on-air segment was embarrassing: But then the segments all about this thirteen, fourteen-year-old crush. Its just a bit embarrassing.
Neeson has had an outspoken record lately regarding everything he has been doing and his opinions about different people and situations. Recently, Neeson even referred to UFC star Conor McGregor as a little leprechaun.
Neeson spoke to Mens Health earlier this month: That little leprechaun Conor McGregor, he gives Ireland a bad name, and I know hes fit, and I admire him for that. But I cant take it. He also stated that he didnt like the UFC and that it reminded him of a bar fight.
