Elon Musk, the high-profile owner of X, has publicly called for the unmasking of members of the Patriot Front organization.
In a statement on Sunday, Musk questioned the apparent lack of interest from the media and government in revealing the identities of these individuals.
His remarks were made in response to a theory proposed by Wall Street Silver, a user on X. The user posited, "The fact that the legacy media shows zero curiosity about unmasking these guys, tells us 100% that these are federal agents or paid stooges of one of the agencies." Musk concurred with the sentiment, stating, "Seems like they should be followed and unmasked."
However, Brian Krassenstien, a journalist known for his left-wing views, argued that unmasking these individuals could potentially breach the law. He stated, "As much as I hate it, even hate has rights, unfortunately." Musk's retort was succinct: "Just follow them."
Adding a touch of humor to the serious discussion, U.S. Representative Thomas Massie quipped that the individuals were "On their way to the pipe bomb workshop." His comment was a reference to the recent report suggesting that the pipe bombs found outside the RNC and DNC on January 5, 2021, might have been a hoax possibly concealed by the FBI and the Secret Service.
The Marauder Magazine shared a video from BG On the Scene, which captured the Patriot Front group departing the area in their vehicles on Saturday. Interestingly, the license plates on these vehicles were blank. This incident, coupled with a previous event in May 2023 where police in Washington DC prevented anyone from following the group into a subway station, has fueled speculation that authorities might be protecting the identities of the group's members.
