Biden TSA Assistant Federal Security Director Maxine McManaman has been arrested in Atlanta by U.
S. Customs and Border Protection for allegedly forging a quitclaim deed to exploit a family member with dementia.
McManaman, who has been working at TSA for 21 years and was recently promoted to a director position in June 2023, was taken into custody upon her arrival in Atlanta, Georgia on December 28.
The arrest follows an investigation that began in April 2023 and focused on the exploitation of a family member with dementia, according to a statement posted on the Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) Facebook page.
The investigation revealed that on December 5, 2022, McManaman prepared a quitclaim deed that listed herself and Delroy Chambers as the Grantees. The deed was an attempt to transfer the home of an elderly relative with dementia to McManaman and Chambers.
However, officers discovered that the relative's signature on the quitclaim deed could not have been genuine due to the specified date, as the relative was determined to be in Atlanta, GA on that day.
Chambers, who is an immigrant from Jamaica according to his social media, had previously been arrested in Port St. Lucie on December 20, 2023, on charges of elderly abuse, forgery, and simple neglect of an elderly person. He is currently out on bond.
The arrest of McManaman highlights the seriousness of the allegations against her and the potential consequences she may face. As reported by the PSLPD, the exploitation of a family member with dementia is a grave offense that warrants legal action.
The TSA, responsible for ensuring the security of the nation's transportation systems, will likely conduct its own internal investigation into the matter. The arrest of one of its Assistant Federal Security Directors raises questions about the agency's hiring and vetting processes.
