Unleashed Anger: DeSantis Team Rips Into Eric Adams For This...

On Monday, as Governor Ron DeSantis embarked on a pro-police tour through NYC, Eric Adams issued a welcome tweet: "Welcome to NYC, [DeSantis], a place where we dont ban books, discriminate against our LGBTQ+ neighbors, use asylum seekers as props, or let the government stand between a woman and health care," as a jab at the Florida Governor.

The mayor of New York City went on to remark, "Were happy to teach you something about values while youre here."

Minutes after DeSantis's team made their statement, spokeswoman Christina Pushaw from his campaign countered by noting that the city of New York had the most people move out in comparison to other metropolitan areas in the previous year.

"Nice rhetoric but heres reality: More Americans fled NYC than any other metro area last year," Pushaw wrote. "More Americans moved to Florida than any other state. You know this, Mayor Adams, and youve talked (accurately) about crime pushing people out of NYC," Pushaw said. "Floridas crime rate meanwhile is at a 50-year low."

"Maybe its you who can learn from [DeSantis]?"

DeSantis started his tour at Staten Island diner, in an area of the city that is more Republican-leaning. He was talking with law enforcement, union representatives, and police officers.

The governor will continue his tour to Fort Washington, a Philadelphia suburb, and Elmhurst, near Chicago, to speak with sheriffs, police chiefs, and other local law enforcement personnel, according to the Governor's political team, as reported by Fox News Digital.

Governor DeSantis is expected to highlight his work to bolster law enforcement and reduce crime in the Sunshine State, which has seen him introduce bills to reinforce bail regulations, impose harsher punishments for sexual offenders, and put other anti-crime initiatives in motion.

The Governor's office reported that last year, DeSantis created the most comprehensive recruitment package ever for law enforcement officers in the state, offering $5,000 bonuses to those who would move to Florida from blue states.

The rumor of Governor DeSantis' plans to visit Chicago caused an uproar last week, which caused Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker to express his disapproval of the Florida governor by labeling him as "homophobic."

Speculations are mounting about DeSantis possibly entering the White House race, which would mean squaring off against former President, Donald Trump.
