Quite The Tactician: AOC Reveals "Plans" In Newly Released Filing

Not surprisingly, Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) sailed to an easy victory in the 2022 midterms with 70.

6% of the vote in a predominantly Democrat district. Now shes looking forward to winning her 2024 election.

According to American Wire News, AOC filed her bid for re-election in New Yorks 14th Congressional District.

The New York Times speculated that AOC may challenge Democrat Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who is seeking her third term of office in 2024. AOCs representative had no comment. Only time will tell.

Given the time she has spent as a NY state representative, its obvious AOC follows her own path, even if it doesnt match up with the agenda of President Joe Biden. For example, she criticized him when he excluded illegal immigrants in pardoning people convicted of simple possession of marijuana at the federal level.

During an episode of Pod Save America, AOC said, I can at least say with Latino voters, weve never tried as a party. The Democratic Party has not tried in terms of Latino electorates. And, I mean, wheres our Dream Act? Where is our immigration reform? And even recently, with President Bidens marijuana executive order, I very much applaud that he went there, but he exempted people who were convicted if they were convicted while they were undocumented.

When surmising about a run for President, AOC has said, Literally day one, even before day one, Ive experienced a lot of targeting diminishment from my party. And the pervasiveness of that diminishment was all-encompassing at times. I feel a little more steady on my own two feet now. But would I say that I have the power to shift the elected federal Democratic Party? No.

Noting that she believes she has two strikes against her, she continued, My experience here has given me a front-row seat to how deeply and unconsciously, as well as consciously, so many people in this country hate women. And they hate women of color.

According to the Times, The Western Journal reported that AOC does not see eye to eye with the Democratic Party. AOC said, Its no secret that an enormous amount of party leadership in New York State is based on big money and old-school, calcified machine-style politics that creates a very anemic voting base that is disengaged and disenfranchised.

While her views are uber-left-wing, AOC sees herself as a progressive and believes there should be reform in the NY Democratic Party. She said, We should rebuild the New York State Democratic Party, and if that is a structure that refuses to be reformed, we rebuild and replace.
