This Poor Guy: Fetterman Hospitalized, Troubling Details Emerge (And It's Not Stroke-Related)

Senator John Fetterman has more health issues unrelated to the stroke he suffered in 2022.

His chief of staff stated that Fetterman checked himself into a hospital to receive treatment for clinical depression..

Fetterman is a 53-year-old freshman Senator. He was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, for symptoms of clinical depression, according to a statement by the chief of staff.

CNBC reports that the statement said: While John has experienced depression off and on throughout his life, it only became severe in recent weeks.

The chief of staff said: On Monday, John was evaluated by Dr. Brian P. Monahan, the attending physician of the United States Congress, and Yesterday, Dr. Monahan recommended inpatient care at Walter Reed. John agreed, and he is receiving treatment on a voluntary basis.

Fetterman was hospitalized last week, but his doctors determined that he had NOT suffered another stroke then. He went to the hospital last week to feeling light-headed but was later released. Now, he is back in the hospital, but he is there for clinical depression at this time.

His wife, Gisele Fetterman, put out some tweets about the situation. She tweeted: After what hes been through in the past year, theres probably no one who wanted to talk about his own health less than John, and Im so proud of him for asking for help and getting the care he needs.

She asked the public to provide her and her family privacy during this challenging time. She said we should keep our loved ones close and look out for them. She wanted the public to know that they were not alone and that everyone should know that resources are available for those in need.

NBC News reported that Fetterman missed votes in the Senate on Wednesday night and Thursday.

In June 2022, Fetterman said he almost died when he suffered a stroke in May.

Fetterman won the Democrat nomination for the Senate seat in Pennsylvania. He was running to take over the vacated seat by retiring Republican Senator Pat Toomey. Fetterman then defeated Dr. Oz to win the Senate seat in November. However, his health issues remained a concern throughout the entire length of the campaign. It is still an issue right now.
